🔗 The Xbox Ally handhelds arrive in October
We've got a date, but no pricing just yet.
Microsoft and ASUS have dated their upcoming handhelds, pencilling in an October 16th release date for the pair of new portables.
This duo of devices, namely the Xbox Ally and the beefier Xbox Ally X are now just a few months away — however despite the approaching pre-Christmas launch, we're still to get any official word on preorder information or the all important pricing.
According to The Verge this information is expected to follow in "the coming weeks".
Rumours and leaks seem to suggest that this Xbox-branded device from ASUS will debut at anything from the $550 to around the $700 price point, with the more powerful 'X' expected to be $900 to north of a thousand bucks. Of course these price points are unconfirmed at this point, and that's no doubt due to ongoing tariff uncertainty. But hey, nice to have a date for these things.
