Inspired by my friends over at MacStories, I decided to launch a page that shows all the tools, software, gear, gadgets, and handhelds I use.
Whenever something in my setup changes, I’ll update this page.

Software
Little side note: I use a Mac for work. My Gaming PC runs Windows and is, well, for gaming. So all of the software below is Mac-focused.
Work
- Raycast: Probably the app I use the most throughout the day. It’s a launcher, similar to Spotlight, only with way more features and extensions. I have the shortcut on Hyper + A, and I probably hit it a hundred times a day.
- Obsidian: I wrote about my setup here. Still tweaking it, and maybe soon I can share the whole thing like one of those productivity influencers on YouTube. It’s all a cult anyway.
- iA Writer: My writing app of choice. I’m typing these lists into iA Writer right now. It’s minimal, uses the same folder structure as Obsidian, so I can easily turn a note into a blog post.
- DaVinci Resolve: Until recently, I used Final Cut Pro. But I’m slowly getting into Resolve.
- ChatGPT: I experiment with different AI tools, but end up using ChatGPT the most. It’s mapped to my Action Button on iPhone, and to
Hyper + \on my Mac. (More about the Hyper Key.) But ChatGPT will never, ever, ever, EVER write any content for me. - Readwise: My read-it-later, RSS, and highlights manager of choice. It’s fantastic. I could write a whole love letter to Readwise, but that’s for another day.
- 1Password: Password manager that works across systems. It’s good enough, though they’re slowly becoming a business-first company.
- Web services: Ghost for overkill, Kirby for my blog, and Fastmail for email.
Life
- Quiche: My browser of choice on iPhone. Built by a single dev, and I love it.
- Dia: The browser I use on macOS. I couldn't give two fucks about any of its AI features, but it's a pretty browser and I love CMD-Shift-C too much (it copies the URL of the opened tab). I tried to recreate this feature with extensions directly in Google Chrome, but none of them work.
- CleanShotX: Much better screenshot tool than what macOS ships with.
- Lightroom & Photomator: I hate Adobe and hate paying monthly, but Lightroom has no real competitors. I also like Photomator, but Apple bought the company, so I fear for its future.
- MacroFactor: I’ve been tracking my food religiously for over two years.
- bunq: My bank. I wrote more about it here.
- The Way: A meditation app I’m giving a spin.
- Pocket Casts: Podcast client. It’s nice. It works. And it synchronizes between platforms.

Hardware
Work
- MacBook Pro 14” M1 Max: Bought it years ago with 64 GB of memory and 32 GPU cores. Still a beast. It's four years old by now, and I have zero need to upgrade it.
- reMarkable Paper Pro: Shared thoughts here.
- AirPods Pro (Gen 1): Apple’s best product. The battery barely holds up now.
- AirPods Max: Absolute garbage.
- iPhone 16 Pro: Love-hate relationship. I shared more here.
- Sony a7 IV: The a7 IV + SEL2470GMII is for b-roll, photography, and reviews. I also own a 70-200 G I, a 100-400 GM, and a 14 mm GM and a 90 mm Macro G.
- Elgato Teleprompter: If you need one, get this. Requires a computer, but better than any iPad app.
- Elgato KeyLights (2 of them): Great, but they make my desk ugly. I use them for YouTube, whenever I sit in the dark and require light hitting my retinas, and during Teams calls.
- Elgato Stream Deck+ with XLR dock: I don’t stream. I use it to mute, hang up Teams, control lights, and whenever I record a YouTube video.
- Rode Procaster: I refuse to buy an SM7B. This is good enough.
- AYANEO AM02 mini-PC: I run the AM02 as a home-server.

Life
- Apple Watch Ultra: I only wear it during runs and at the gym. I wear an analogue watch normally.
- Boox Go Color 7: Home e-ink reader. Review here.
- Fuji X100VI: Probably the best camera I have ever owned, and I owned a Leica. My full review is here.
- Mode Envoy: The endgame of keyboards. I don't think I need anything else for writing anymore (though I use something else for gaming, more below). I went for the Obscura Linear Switches, which I pen-lubed, Durock stabilizers, the foam kit, and paired them with GMK Firefly r2 caps. Pure joy.
- Pencil Case: I want to learn sketching, and I journal near-daily by hand. After watching this video by Peter McKinnon, I started looking for my own pencil case, and ended up on this custom one made in Italy.
- FiiO M21: My audio-player of choice. It runs Android so I can install whatever streaming app I want. My full review.
- Moondrop Aria 2: The current IEMs that I am using. I also own a pair of Pula Unicrom, but somehow they hurt my ears.
- Office Chair: I have one, I forgot what it's called. The same goes for the desk. One day, when I am not procrastinating, I'll buy new ones. Or get myself sponsored by a desk company.

Gaming
- LG C2 (65”): 4K120 OLED TV. Connected: PS5, Apple TV, first-gen Switch (but not for long), Nintendo Switch 2, and my Gaming PC with a very long active HDMI cable. Like, very long!
- Monitor: ASUS PG32UCDP. The WOLED one, because I have too many large windows just next to the screen. OLED, 4k, 240hz refresh rate. I love it!
- Gaming PC: I recently upgraded, the specs are:

- Handhelds: I have a ton of them, but I’ll be honest. Right now, I barely use any, except if I am reviewing one. I have no clue when I last turned on my Steam Deck. Here is a list of the ones I currently have:

- Steam Deck OLED
- Anbernic RG35XX
- Miyoo Mini
- ASUS ROG Ally
- AYN Odin 2 Mini
- AYN Thor (reviewing this one currently)
- Retroid Pocket 5
- Razer Edge
- Ayaneo Pocket DMG
- Ayaneo Pocket Air
- Ayaneo Pocket Ace
- Ayaneo Flip KB
- Nintendo 3DS XL (twice)
- Sony PS Vita
- Sony PSP
- Pulsar Superglide XXL Mouse Pad: I first saw this at Gamescom and immediately fell in love with it. It’s a 980×420 mm glass mouse pad from Pulsar, and it’s a dream for smooth tracking. My different mouses (mice?) just glide over the surface.
- Logitech MX Master 3s, Pulsar Xlite Crazylight: One for work, one for games. It's insane how light the Pulsar is.
- Software: For Gaming, software is kind of obvious, but the most important stuff is:
- EmuDeck: This is probably the most important software you can run if you are into emulating any kind of platform.
- The launchers: I have games on every launcher you can imagine, so I basically install all of them.
- Discord: D'uh!
Miscellaneous things
- GoRuck GR1: My go-to daily carry. Built like a tank. I use a GR2 for travel.
- Peak Design Everyday Backpack: I carry this when I bring my cameras and my lenses.
- Anker 737 battery: Review here. It's a battery. It charges.
- iPad Pro 11": I don't even remember what generation this is? I mostly use it to read in Readwise, or read Manga.
- Bellroy Sling: EDC sling. It holds the FiiO, wallet, keys, phone, and sometimes the Boox.
- Apple TV 4K: Hooked up to two HomePods (to be replaced by Sonos). I use it for YouTube, Crunchyroll, and Plex.
