The much anticipated Metroidvania sequel is arriving in September.
Team Cherry's highly anticipated follow-up to Hollow Knight finally has a release date, with Silksong expected to arrive on September 4th, 2025.
The game was briefly reconfirmed as a 2025 release during Opening Night Live at Gamescom in Germany earlier this week. Those attending Gamescom this week will also be able to play the new game at both the Xbox and Nintendo booths.
Today however Team Cherry shared a deeper look, confirming that all important launch date in a YouTube presentation.
A fresh trailer was shown to accompany the release date, highlighting gameplay moments from the Metroidvania.
Hollow Knight: Silksong was first teased back in February of 2019, and now over 2,000 days later, we finally know when we'll be able to play this sequel to the much loved 2017 original. The game is currently on the wish lists of over four million Steam users.
The game will launch on PC, Mac, Switch, Switch 2, PS4 and PS5, and the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles.
