The handheld maker is getting into the highly competitive smartphone space.
When we last spoke with AYANEO CEO Arthur Zhang about potential plans for a smartphone, the hardware boss was clear: the high cost of licensing was something of a barrier.
Well, plans change — the company has now teased a future smartphone product.
As part of a recent strategy briefing the device maker shared plans for a new phone "for gamers". Sure, it's not the first time a smartphone has been aimed at gaming, but it will be interesting all the same to see AYANEO's take on things, especially now that the company has a fair bit of experience with crafting a gaming experience on Android under their belt.
Little is known about this upcoming phone right now, but the teaser shared by AYANEO hinted that "the magic lies in the slide" — so, it's fair to assume that the company maybe making a two-tier smartphone with physical controls that slide out? PSP Go but as an Android handheld anyone?
We will share more as we get it!
