🔗 This is how the Steam Machine might perform
ThePhawx assembled a DIY Steam Machine to mimic Valve’s specs to see how close it gets to the promised performance.
ThePhawx kitbashed his own “Steam Machine” out of an 8840U and a 7600 MXT, parking cores, capping clocks, disabling the iGPU, and using AMD Smart Access Memory to get as close as possible to Valve’s leaked Hawk.2 setup.
The fun part is the game tests, where he stress-tests Valve’s 4K60 and 6x Steam Deck claims in real GPU bound scenarios and runs straight into the expected VRAM and ray tracing limits.
