Digital Foundry takes a deep dive into how Nintendo's new machine handles CD Projekt Red's Night City RPG.
The folks over at Digital Foundry have been putting Nintendo's new machine through the wringer, testing the hardware and seeing how it stacks up to its contemporaries.
Their latest detailed test sees them benchmark CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, trying the game in both handheld and docked mode on Switch 2.
The near half hour video goes into a ton of detail, but the key takeaways are that the Switch 2 version packs quiet the punch when docked, but the Steam Deck has a somewhat easier time with it when handheld. The Switch 2 version is also just darn impressive in terms of what it's presenting in terms of power demands.
It's an interesting deep dive into how Nintendo's new machine handles such mammoth games. I'd say it bodes well for the third-party picture going forward.
